Category Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Category Assistant to join Careem’s Groceries team. In this role you will support the Category Management function by ensuring that product listings are accurate, complete and aligned with our standards, helping to deliver a fast and reliable Q‑commerce experience for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Create and relist new items selected by Category Managers and ensure high‑quality content that meets guidelines.
• Coordinate with the Supply Chain team and collect required information from suppliers to complete item creation.
• Update item information in Oracle based on supplier requests and internal feedback in a timely manner.
• Maintain tags and stock‑availability data, incorporating feedback from suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Perform regular checks on item content and category mapping, and conduct quarterly master‑data audits to improve data quality.

Required profile

• Undergraduate or postgraduate education, preferably with a business background.
• 1–2 years of experience in catalog management, business development or account management.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Oracle (or similar ERP/catalogue management systems).
