Chemistry Teacher

About the role

Trinity School, founded in 1992, is an established educational institution offering a rigorous, internationally aligned curriculum. It is seeking a full-time, on-site Chemistry Teacher to deliver age-appropriate chemistry lessons, run practical laboratory sessions and assess student performance in line with the school's curriculum standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans and create instructional materials
• Deliver engaging chemistry lessons and practical laboratory sessions
• Grade assignments and exams, give timely feedback and maintain accurate academic records
• Support students' understanding of core chemical concepts and promote safe laboratory practices
• Collaborate with colleagues on cross-disciplinary projects and school initiatives
• Take part in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences and professional development activities

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Education or a closely related field; a teaching certification or license is preferred
• Experience teaching at middle or secondary school level, with evidence of effective classroom management and student engagement
• Ability to design and oversee safe laboratory activities following school and regulatory safety guidelines
• Commitment to inclusive, gender-neutral and non-discriminatory teaching practices and continuous professional growth

Required skills

• Strong expertise in chemistry education, explaining complex concepts clearly and accurately
• Demonstrated lesson planning and teaching skills, able to structure lessons for diverse learning needs
• Solid understanding of physics to support interdisciplinary science instruction when required
• Excellent communication skills with students, families and colleagues
