Chinese Chef

About the role

Foods Inn is looking for an accomplished Chinese Chef with strong culinary expertise and a passion for authentic Chinese cuisine to lead and elevate its kitchen operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Chinese kitchen, ensuring food quality, taste, presentation and consistency.
• Develop, refine and standardize Chinese recipes and menus.
• Supervise kitchen staff and ensure timely preparation and hygiene compliance.
• Monitor ingredients, portions, stock and food costs to reduce waste.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, equipment and food safety standards.
• Introduce new dishes and improve existing recipes according to customer preferences and market trends.

Required profile

• 10 years of professional experience as a Chinese chef in a reputable restaurant or hotel.
• Expertise in authentic Chinese cuisine, cooking techniques, sauces and ingredient selection.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen and in developing menus and standardizing recipes.
• Strong kitchen leadership, team management and operational skills.

Required skills

• Food costing, portion control and inventory management.
• Food safety knowledge.
