Civil Site Supervisor / Engineer - Data Center

About the role

Fortek Pvt Ltd. is hiring a Civil Site Supervisor/Engineer in Islamabad to oversee and manage the on-ground execution of civil, structural, architectural and coordinated MEP works for a Data Center facility. The role requires precision, strong supervision, safety awareness and knowledge of data center-specific construction needs such as fire-rating, raised floors, equipment rooms and critical envelope works. It sits in the Technical & Projects department, under the line manager Talha Naeem.

Key responsibilities

• Directly supervise civil, structural and architectural works according to approved drawings, specifications and standards.
• Receive daily and weekly targets from the Manager, attend daily coordination meetings and report progress, challenges and priorities.
• Arrange labor, tools, machinery and materials and stay physically present at work areas to ensure quality and adherence to drawings.
• Coordinate with MEP teams on sleeves, openings, inserts, supports, conduits, trenches and equipment pads.
• Supervise subcontractors, monitor their progress and performance, and resolve site-level conflicts.
• Enforce HSE guidelines, run toolbox talks and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Carry out data center-specific work such as fire-rated walls and doors, raised floor support systems, anti-static flooring readiness and precision floor leveling.
• Maintain documentation (checklists, IRs, NCRs, daily logs) and coordinate inspections with consultants and the client.
• Submit daily, weekly and monthly reports covering progress, resources used, safety incidents, schedule and budget deviations, and KPI analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, B.Tech (Civil), DAE in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 5-7 years of hands-on experience in civil construction supervision, preferably in data centers.
• Proven track record supervising structural and architectural works with precision finishing.
• Familiarity with local building codes, regulations and safety standards, and with coordinating subcontractors and laborers.

Required skills

• Interpretation of civil and MEP drawings, sections and coordinated layouts.
• Knowledge of data center construction standards, precision leveling, fire-rating, insulation and critical environment requirements.
• Good command of MS Excel, MS Word and digital reporting tools.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure.
