Clinical Sciences Assistant Professor (Rawalpindi)

About the role

The university seeks a Clinical Sciences Assistant Professor to support the Head of Department in managing clinical and academic activities. The role combines teaching, patient care supervision, and coordination with hospital administration to ensure high‑quality education and health services.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and deliver seminars, clinical skills sessions, and small‑group discussions for MBBS students.
• Facilitate postgraduate training (FCPS, DCPS) through case‑based teaching, journal clubs, and research mentorship.
• Assist the Head of Department in planning CPC meetings, conferences, and examinations.
• Supervise OPD sessions, ward rounds, and emergency consultations, ensuring appropriate diagnostics and patient management.
• Provide specialist advice to other departments and oversee on‑call duties.
• Mentor and train PGs, medical officers, house officers, and paramedical staff.

Required profile

• MBBS degree with FCPS qualification in a relevant field, meeting PM&DC eligibility criteria.
• Experience in clinical practice, teaching, and research as per PM&DC standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, and work effectively in a team.
