Clinical Support Specialist – Minimally Invasive Surgery (Laparoscopy)

About the role

The Clinical Support Specialist will provide clinical and technical assistance to surgeons and operating‑room teams during minimally invasive procedures, especially laparoscopic surgeries. The role combines hands‑on operating‑room experience with product knowledge to ensure safe and effective use of laparoscopic devices.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical support during laparoscopic and other minimally invasive surgeries.
• Assist surgeons and OR staff with proper use of laparoscopic instruments, devices, and related products.
• Deliver product demonstrations, in‑service training, and clinical education to surgeons, nurses, and hospital personnel.
• Prepare and handle products according to manufacturer guidelines and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.
• Attend surgeries to offer real‑time technical and clinical assistance as needed.
• Collaborate with sales teams during product evaluations, demonstrations, and launches.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of laparoscopic techniques, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare reports on supported procedures, customer feedback, and training activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related clinical field.
• 2–5 years of relevant clinical experience, preferably as a Clinical Specialist in an operating‑room environment.
• Strong hands‑on experience with laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel to hospitals and surgical centres as required.
