Clinical Standards Specialist

About the role
The Clinical Standards Specialist will lead the design and implementation of a standardized Clinical Education and Practice Framework that aligns with national regulations and international best practices. This role supports nursing colleges, Centers of Excellence, and teaching hospitals in elevating the quality of clinical education and patient care.
Key responsibilities
- Develop standards for clinical placements, supervision, mentorship, competency assessments, logbooks, and documentation.
- Define minimum clinical exposure requirements and competency benchmarks for nursing students.
- Create clinical competency assessment tools and evaluation mechanisms.
- Support competency‑based nursing education across affiliated institutions.
- Design guidelines for clinical teaching, preceptorship, and supervision.
- Assist institutions in aligning clinical education standards with accreditation requirements and develop related policies, SOPs, and quality‑assurance systems.
- Provide technical guidance for accreditation readiness and regulatory compliance.
- Design and deliver capacity‑building programs for faculty, clinical instructors, preceptors, and supervisors, including workshops, seminars, and training materials.
- Coordinate with teaching hospitals, nursing colleges, regulatory bodies, and professional organizations to foster collaboration and policy development.
- Monitor clinical education quality indicators, prepare implementation reports, and support evidence collection for program evaluation.
Required profile
- Advanced degree such as MScN or MBBS, preferably with further qualification in Nursing Education, Public Health, or Healthcare Management.
- Additional certification in Clinical Standards, Quality Assurance, or Patient Safety is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in developing clinical education standards, quality‑assurance systems, and accreditation support.
