Country CFO/Controller – Vice President

About the role

Citi is seeking a senior finance leader to serve as Country CFO/Controller and Vice President. The role sits at the heart of Citi’s Finance Team, overseeing financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and control functions for the country operation.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the integrity and control of the company’s financial books and reporting processes.
• Embed consistent controls across business units and standardise financial reporting.
• Strengthen the independent control environment and support responsible growth.
• Develop and manage the financial control function, including external statutory audit where applicable.
• Oversee internal and external local financial and regulatory reporting.
• Participate in short‑term planning and resource allocation.
• Apply deep knowledge of finance sub‑functions, country standards, and financial theory.
• Guide, influence and communicate with internal stakeholders and occasional external customers.
• Manage volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of financial results.
• Lead budgeting, policy formulation and team performance management.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in finance, accounting, and regulatory reporting.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how finance sub‑functions integrate.
• Proven leadership skills with full responsibility for a team, budgeting and performance evaluation.
• Excellent communication and diplomacy to influence cross‑functional partners.
