Creative Director & Art Direction Lead

About the role

Novate, a creative and digital marketing agency covering video production, photography, graphic design, branding, social media and performance marketing, is hiring a Creative Director and Art Direction Lead. The role sets visual direction, reviews design work and guides the existing design team toward premium, internationally competitive work. It is offered part-time / freelance on a retainer basis, either remotely or onsite in Lahore.

Key responsibilities

• Set the agency's visual identity and creative direction, review design work and give clear feedback on typography, layout, spacing, hierarchy, composition, imagery and visual storytelling.
• Lead the creative direction of the agency pitch deck, and develop portfolios, case studies, proposals, capability decks and company profiles.
• Guide the existing graphic designer with briefs and references, break projects into milestones, run design reviews and help the designer improve their visual judgment.
• Develop brand visual guidelines and direct brochures, social media campaigns, proposal templates and digital assets, building reusable layouts and design systems.
• Position the agency for international clients, adapting visual communication to sectors such as dental clinics and aesthetic practices.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in art direction, graphic design, branding or presentation design.
• A strong portfolio showing typography, layout, composition and visual storytelling.
• Proven experience directing designers, giving creative feedback or leading design projects.
• Ability to turn vague feedback into clear creative direction and to lead a project from concept to final approval.

Required skills

• Strong command of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Proficiency in Figma or presentation tools is a plus.
