Customs Operations Manager (Lahore)

About the role

Aliz International is hiring a Customs Operations Manager (also called Customs Clearance Manager) in Lahore, Pakistan, with coordination to Karachi ports. The role manages import documentation and customs clearance, works with the Karachi office, shipping agents and customs authorities, and reports to the Director / Import Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Check commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin and other import documents for accuracy before shipment arrival.
• Prepare the complete document set in Lahore and send it to the Karachi branch office.
• Review HS classification, customs valuation and applicable duties and taxes.
• Use the PSW portal and WeBOC for declarations, tracking and assessment follow-up, and resolve documentation discrepancies and customs queries promptly.
• Coordinate with the Karachi office on declarations, examinations, assessments and release, and verify clearing bills, shipping-line charges and other clearance expenses.
• Give management regular, accurate status reports on each shipment, including costs, delays and outstanding issues, and keep management informed of tariff, SRO and import regulation changes.
• Find and win new clients for customs clearance services and advise them on documentation and import procedures.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of customs clearance experience in Pakistan.
• Experience working with ports, shipping lines and customs authorities.
• Bachelor's degree preferred (supply chain, commerce, business or related).

Required skills

• Strong practical knowledge of PSW, WeBOC, import documentation, HS codes, valuation and duties and taxes.
• Good communication, negotiation, problem-solving and Excel skills.
