Cyber Security Analyst – SOC Level 2

About the role

We are seeking a proactive SOC Level 2 Analyst to join our Cyber Security team. The role involves hands‑on investigation of security incidents, threat analysis, and response coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, investigate and respond to incidents escalated from SOC Level 1.
• Perform deep analysis of security events, conduct triage, root‑cause analysis and recommend containment, remediation and recovery actions.
• Develop, tune and maintain SIEM/EDR use cases, correlation rules, dashboards and custom searches.
• Investigate complex incidents across Windows, Linux, Active Directory, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, endpoint and network logs.
• Coordinate with internal teams, customers and third‑party vendors, lead technical escalations and ensure SLA compliance.
• Prepare incident reports, executive summaries and periodic security reports for management and clients.
• Mentor SOC Level 1 analysts and contribute to playbooks, SOPs and incident‑response workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security or related field.
• 2–3 years experience in a Security Operations Center.
• Hands‑on experience with IBM QRadar SIEM (mandatory).
• Preferred certifications: IBM Certified Associate Administrator – QRadar, CompTIA Security+, CEH, GCIH, Microsoft SC‑200.
