Cyber Security Associate Instructor

About the role

The Cyber Security Associate Instructor supports student success by collaborating with learners and the lead instructor. You will guide students through labs, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure a smooth learning experience in a virtual classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist students with lab assignments and troubleshoot issues in real time.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of lab content at least one week before the course starts.
• Monitor and manage Zoom chat during live sessions.
• Answer learner questions promptly via Zoom and Slack.
• Complete grading within established timeframes.
• Coordinate with lead instructors to ensure student progress.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience with cyber security tools.
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent interpersonal and multitasking abilities.
• At least 1 year of teaching‑assistant or similar support experience (preferred).

Required skills

• Information security fundamentals.
• Hands‑on experience with hardware, network and security protocols.
• Certifications such as CEH, CySA+, and Pentest+.
• Python programming.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Familiarity with additional information‑security frameworks and tools.
