Cybersecurity Engineer - Penetration Testing & Vulnerability Assessment

About the role

VIDIZMO, an AI software company headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen its secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) and integrate security best practices at every stage of development. The role involves hands-on vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and reporting, with VAPT skills preferred. Candidates must be able to use AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot to support their work while taking full accountability for the final deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Perform in-depth vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on systems, networks and applications
• Analyze results and produce detailed reports on vulnerabilities, risks and remediation recommendations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and fix vulnerabilities by severity and impact
• Take part in red team exercises to test defensive measures and incident response
• Help develop and improve security policies, procedures and guidelines
• Mentor junior team members and stay up to date on security threats and best practices
• Review and validate AI-generated outputs and own the quality and compliance of final deliverables

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security or a related field
• Solid understanding of common vulnerabilities, attack vectors and exploitation techniques
• Hands-on experience with security testing tools; preferred certifications include CEH or OSCP
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, clear communication and business acumen
• Proficiency in Claude (mandatory) and familiarity with ChatGPT; successful completion of a Claude-based assessment is required

Required skills

• Nessus, Nmap, Metasploit, Burp Suite and other industry-standard tools
• Familiarity with operating systems, networking protocols and web technologies
• DevSecOps and secure coding knowledge; VAPT skills are a plus
