D365 F&O Technical Consultant

About the role

A Microsoft Dynamics 365 partner specialising in ERP implementations, CRM modernisation, cloud migrations and Microsoft technologies is looking for a Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Technical Consultant in Islamabad. The consultant designs, develops, integrates and supports D365 F&O solutions, working closely with functional consultants, technical teams and clients to deliver scalable, upgrade-safe solutions. The position is full-time and can be onsite, hybrid or remote.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and customise D365 F&O using X++ and supported extension frameworks.
• Design and implement integrations using Data Entities, OData, REST APIs, Business Events and Azure services.
• Support data migration, mapping, validation and reconciliation using DMF and Data Entities.
• Translate functional requirements into technical solutions and specifications.
• Configure and support workflows, security, integrations, reports and system components.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, perform root-cause analysis and optimise system performance.
• Take part in SIT, UAT, regression testing, deployments and production support.
• Use Azure DevOps and source control for development, testing and release management.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, project teams and clients throughout implementation projects.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in D365 F&O technical development or consulting.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field is preferred.
• Strong communication, documentation and problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with X++, D365 F&O extensions and customisation.
• Knowledge of Data Entities, DMF, OData, APIs and system integrations.
• Debugging, performance optimisation and technical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, source control and deployment processes.
• Understanding of ERP business processes and ability to work with functional teams.
• Preferred: Power Platform, Dataverse, Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, AX 2012 to D365 F&O migrations, Business Events, dual-write or ISV integrations, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 certification.
