Data & AI Architect

About the role

An organization is looking for an experienced Data and AI Architect to design, govern and evolve enterprise data and AI architecture. The role covers data platforms, AI/ML solutions, cloud architecture and data governance, working with technology, data and business teams to build scalable, secure and compliant solutions in both cloud and on-premises environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise data and AI architecture aligned with business strategy and technology standards.
• Design end-to-end data and AI solutions, including data pipelines, AI model deployment and integration with enterprise platforms.
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies, frameworks and best practices.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, AI Engineers, Enterprise Architects, business units and external partners.
• Optimize data storage, processing and AI model performance across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Establish and maintain data architecture, AI governance, security and compliance standards.
• Approve architectural designs, technology standards and solution blueprints, and recommend technology investments and vendors.
• Lead architectural problem-solving and root cause analysis, and ensure solutions meet business, policy and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, AI/ML solution design and technology leadership in financial services or technology sectors.
• Proven experience designing and deploying enterprise-scale data and AI solutions, and leading cross-functional teams.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of enterprise data platforms, including Azure and Databricks.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML frameworks, cloud architectures and hybrid cloud environments.
• Expertise in data governance, data security and enterprise architecture principles.
• Ability to architect end-to-end data pipelines, AI/ML solutions and platform integrations.
