Data Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for our clients. You will work remotely alongside data analysts, scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure high‑quality, reliable data for analytics and machine learning.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL and ELT pipelines.
• Build and optimise data architectures, databases, and data warehouses.
• Integrate data from multiple sources, APIs, and third‑party platforms.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, reliability, and security.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and document data workflows.
• Collaborate with analytics, engineering, and business teams to capture data requirements.
• Implement data governance and best‑practice data management.
• Optimise storage, processing performance, and query efficiency.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or data warehousing.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database management.
• Hands‑on experience with Python, Java or Scala.
• Experience building data pipelines with ETL/ELT tools.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of modern data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery or Databricks.
• Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow or Prefect.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment.
