Data Lead – Snowflake

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to lead the design and implementation of AI‑powered data solutions within the Snowflake ecosystem. The role focuses on building scalable pipelines, optimizing data models, and integrating large language model capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Python, Snowpark, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks and Dynamic Tables.
• Build and maintain dimensional and medallion data models to support analytics and AI workloads.
• Develop AI solutions with Snowflake Cortex LLM functions, Cortex Search for retrieval‑augmented generation, and Cortex Analyst for natural‑language‑to‑SQL.
• Process structured and unstructured data (including PDFs and images) for analytics and AI applications.
• Implement role‑based access control, data masking, security policies and governance practices.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines and version control using Git, dbt and Terraform, and ensure data quality and pipeline monitoring.

Required profile

• 6+ years of data engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused on Snowflake.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data transformation and performance tuning.
• Hands‑on experience with Snowpark, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks and Dynamic Tables.
• Practical knowledge of Snowflake Cortex capabilities and large language models, embeddings and vector search.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow.
