Data Scientist – Advanced Analytics & AI

About the role

Habib Bank AG Zurich is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to support advanced analytics and AI initiatives within the Software Development function. The role focuses on building data‑driven solutions, applying machine learning and AI techniques, and delivering actionable insights for business and technology stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Apply data science and AI techniques to solve complex business and technical problems.
• Perform data analysis, modeling, and visualization to generate meaningful insights.
• Develop and maintain analytics and machine‑learning solutions using Python.
• Work with relational and non‑relational databases to manage and prepare datasets.
• Apply the CRISP‑DM methodology across data‑science projects.
• Design, train, and evaluate machine‑learning models, neural networks, and AI solutions.
• Work with large language models (LLMs) and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
• Build scalable AI applications using LangChain and LangGraph.
• Deploy solutions with FastAPI and follow MLOps best practices for model lifecycle management.
• Create dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, and Cognos.
• Collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, and business teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (4 years) in software engineering or computer science from a top university with a minimum 3.0 CGPA.
• 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in data science, analytics, or AI‑related roles.
