Data Scientist – Advanced Analytics

About the role

IBM Consulting is seeking a Data Scientist with advanced analytics expertise to help clients transform their hybrid cloud and AI journeys. You will combine deep data‑science knowledge with strong business acumen to turn complex data into actionable insights that drive measurable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret diverse data sets using mathematical optimization, discrete‑event simulation, and predictive analytics.
• Design, develop, and deploy predictive models in Python to forecast trends and recommend optimizations.
• Manipulate large data volumes with Pandas, NumPy, and Dask and create visualisations using Matplotlib, Seaborn, and Plotly.
• Manage and query databases such as SQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Implement optimization solutions with IBM CPLEX and Gurobi to deliver business value.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering).
• Demonstrated experience in data preparation, analysis, and predictive modelling.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate technical results to non‑technical stakeholders.
