Department Manager - Fresh Fruits & Vegetables

About the role

Metro Pakistan is hiring a Department Manager for its fresh fruits and vegetables department in Faisalabad. The post reports to the CEM and covers the day-to-day running of the department, including stock control, team leadership and product presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in stock ordering and maintain optimal stock levels in the department.
• Lead the team of Store Associates in mass merchandising, shelf management, stock management and keeping the department clean.
• Drive productivity improvements and enhance operational efficiency.
• Help the FM achieve the department's sales targets.
• Manage the department during overnight operations according to DSO (Dark Store Operations) protocols and make sure it is ready before opening.
• Keep product presentation in line with the planogram and secondary displays according to BMPL guidelines.
• Ensure all activities follow SOPs and relevant protocols and policies.
• Enforce discipline in timekeeping and professional attire in line with uniform guidelines.
• Carry out QA checks using defined protocols and checklists.
• Monitor product expiry records during and after deliveries and ensure FIFO is followed.

Required profile

• Graduation or equivalent degree.
