Design & Application Engineer

About the role

Avanceon, a global system integrator with over 30 years of experience in integrated solutions for manufacturing, is looking for a Design & Application Engineer. The role covers the design, configuration, integration and implementation of process control solutions for a wide range of industries, working with major manufacturers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, integrate and implement process control solutions for various industries
• Develop P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and loop descriptions for plants, processes and equipment
• Write user requirement specifications and detailed software and hardware design specifications
• Design, write, implement, test and document PLC, DCS, SCADA and HMI software
• Create control system validation and testing protocols
• Specify and procure process instrumentation, PLCs, DCSs, drives and other electrical components
• Draw electrical and control panel schematics and prepare scope of supply documents
• Manage automation projects and install, test and commission control systems on site
• Train operators and engineers on new control systems

Required profile

• BSc in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics engineering from a recognised institute
• At least 1-4 years of practical experience in industrial automation
• Knowledge of process manufacturing, field instrumentation and control system installation and implementation
• Experience across project phases: requirements documentation, detailed design, implementation, system integration, testing and onsite startup
• Excellent verbal and written English and strong relationship-building skills with customers and partners
