Design & Application Engineer (PMT)

About the role

Avanceon, a multinational corporation active in automation, control systems integration, energy management solutions and support services, is looking for a skilled Automation Engineer with 4-5 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation. The role covers the design, development and commissioning of automation systems, with strong expertise in PLCs, DCS and associated instrumentation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop automation system architectures, I/O lists and control philosophies, and prepare and review functional design specifications, cause-and-effect diagrams and control narratives.
• Configure and program PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider, etc.) and DCS platforms (Honeywell, Emerson, Yokogawa, etc.), and develop HMI/SCADA graphics and dashboards.
• Take part in FAT and SAT, and lead or support on-site commissioning, loop checking and start-up.
• Troubleshoot and optimise control systems to meet process KPIs.
• Produce as-built documentation, user manuals and training materials, and ensure compliance with IEC, ISA and local codes.
• Work with internal engineering teams, vendors and clients, and provide technical support and training to operators and maintenance staff.

Required profile

• 4-5 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation.
• Experience designing, developing and commissioning automation systems.
