DevOps Engineer

About the role

Apertera is seeking a hands‑on DevOps Engineer to join its agile delivery teams. You will split your time between embedded team support—removing blockers and championing best‑practice CI/CD—and owning the reliability and delivery pipeline for a specific service.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with an embedded delivery team to clear blockers and ensure on‑time, high‑quality releases.
• Own the reliability, delivery pipeline, and infrastructure for a defined service or component.
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment tooling.
• Manage infrastructure as code across cloud environments.
• Participate in on‑call rotation, monitor, alert, and resolve production incidents.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks and embed security/compliance into pipelines.
• Collaborate with software engineers on deployment strategy and production readiness.
• Maintain clear runbooks, documentation, and post‑incident write‑ups.
• Mentor and support junior engineers.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, platform, or infrastructure engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).
• Proven ability to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar).
• Comfort with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Scripting or programming ability (Python, Bash, Go, or similar).
