DevOps Engineer (Remote)

About the role

RocketDevs is looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to work remotely on client projects that require scalable, secure, and reliable cloud‑native infrastructure. You will own deployment, automation, monitoring, and reliability for production systems serving global users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or CircleCI.
• Deploy and manage containerised workloads on Kubernetes clusters.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Pulumi or CloudFormation.
• Set up monitoring, alerting and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK).
• Optimize cloud costs, performance and reliability across AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Automate operational tasks with Bash, Python or Go scripts.
• Ensure security best practices, backup, disaster recovery and compliance.

Required profile

• Strong Linux command‑line proficiency.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Deep knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Proven ability to build and maintain production CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, SSL/TLS, reverse proxies).
• Solid Git/GitHub workflow discipline.
• Ability to present a real production infrastructure diagram and explain its impact.
