Director of Cyber Security & Privacy

About the role

The Ministry of Information Technology & Telecommunication (MoITT) is seeking a senior professional to lead its national cyber security and privacy programme. As Director Cyber Security & Privacy, you will shape policies, oversee compliance, and protect public‑sector ICT assets across Pakistan.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive cyber security and data privacy policies for government ICT systems.
• Oversee national cyber security initiatives, compliance frameworks and coordinate with regulators and security agencies.
• Monitor emerging cyber threats, manage risk assessments and lead incident response activities.
• Promote best practices in information security and privacy across all public sector entities.
• Supervise projects related to cyber security, ICT governance and stakeholder coordination.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in ICT, cyber security or data privacy.
• Strong background in information and communication technology and familiarity with national and international cyber security standards.
• Proven analytical, leadership and coordination abilities.
