Domain Portfolio Lead – QA & Test Center of Excellence

About the role

The Domain Portfolio Lead will establish, optimize and manage the QA function for Mashreq's portfolio, ensuring alignment with the QA policy and Test Center of Excellence (TCOE) standards. This senior position drives governance, standardisation and continuous improvement across banking technology initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and govern the TCOE framework, standardising testing methodologies, tools, templates and reporting across the portfolio.
• Align QA strategy with business objectives, regulatory requirements and technology priorities, collaborating with product owners, analysts and project managers.
• Define, manage and monitor QA KPIs, dashboards and performance reports covering automation coverage, defect metrics and productivity trends.
• Promote QA maturity through coaching, mentoring and knowledge‑sharing, and champion adoption of innovative testing tools and automation‑first approaches.
• Lead risk‑based testing, identify quality risks and implement mitigation strategies within banking technology environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related quantitative discipline.
• Minimum 10 + years of banking QA experience covering core, digital, trade finance and regulatory domains.
• Proven experience in QA leadership and Test Center of Excellence initiatives.

• Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Excel, Grafana, Power BI.
• Automation testing frameworks, API testing, performance testing, test data management.
• Defect lifecycle management, risk‑based testing, defect severity/prioritisation, defect removal efficiency.
