Driver

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a reliable Driver to operate its office vehicle(s) in Sukkur, Pakistan. The role involves safe transportation of staff, handling vehicle maintenance, and supporting basic office tasks as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Drive assigned IOM office vehicle(s) and ensure safe, timely travel to destinations.
• Perform daily vehicle checks (tires, brakes, oil, fan belt) and arrange minor repairs to keep the vehicle roadworthy.
• Maintain service schedules, keep clean vehicles, and manage spare‑parts inventory.
• Prepare daily log sheets and monthly reports on mileage, fuel consumption and other statistics.
• Assist staff with airport pick‑ups, mail and document delivery, and occasional clerical duties.

Required profile

• High school certificate with at least 2 years of relevant driving experience, or a Bachelor’s degree.
• Valid national driver’s licence.
• Fluency in Urdu and English (oral and written).
• Knowledge of driving rules and regulations and experience with various vehicle makes and models.

Required skills

• Minor vehicle repair and basic maintenance skills.
• Ability to use radio, email and telephone applications for communication.
