Electrical Engineer – Product Development / R&D (Electronics)

About the role

Tilco Technology Lab is looking for a motivated Electrical Engineer to join its product development and R&D team. The position is full‑time and on‑site, focusing on the creation of smart consumer electronic products from concept through production. You will work on both hardware and firmware to bring innovative devices to market.

Key responsibilities

• Lead research, design and development of new smart electronic products and product improvements.
• Develop embedded firmware for microcontroller‑based systems using C/C++, implementing real‑time functions, peripheral drivers and communication protocols such as SPI, I2C and UART.
• Design, prototype, test and validate PCBs for consumer devices, including component selection, circuit debugging and system integration.
• Create and test analog and digital circuits to meet performance, reliability and cost targets.
• Perform product validation, troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis throughout development and testing phases.
• Support rapid prototyping, including PCB CNC milling and prototype fabrication.
• Maintain technical documentation such as schematics, BOMs, firmware notes, test reports and engineering change records.
• Research emerging technologies and collaborate with mechanical, sourcing and production teams to ensure successful product execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in product development, embedded systems or R&D engineering.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, analytical thinking and self‑motivated attitude.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and documentation skills.
