About the role
The Emergency & Livelihood Officer will join Muslim Hands in Lahore to contribute to the organization’s humanitarian programmes. This position focuses on supporting emergency response initiatives and developing livelihood strategies for affected communities. The role is based in Lahore and works closely with local teams to assess needs and coordinate interventions.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in planning and implementing emergency response activities, ensuring rapid delivery of aid to affected populations.
- Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of livelihood projects that aim to improve income-generating opportunities for vulnerable households.
- Coordinate with field teams, partners, and local authorities to ensure effective delivery and alignment of assistance with community needs.
- Collect, analyse, and report data related to emergency and livelihood interventions to inform programme decisions and donor reporting.
Required profile
- Master’s degree (MA/MSc) in a relevant field such as Development Studies, Humanitarian Affairs, or a related discipline.
- 3‑4 years of professional experience working with NGOs, specifically in emergency response and livelihood planning contexts.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment and adapt to dynamic field conditions.
