English Instructional Designer – Technology Programmes

About the role

We are looking for an English Instructional Designer to lead the integration of AI‑driven and ed‑tech tools into technology‑focused English programmes for 11‑15‑year‑old EFL learners. The role involves reviewing digital resources, designing classroom models and translating learning needs into clear product requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review and evaluate AI‑based English learning apps, speaking tools, reading platforms and assessment solutions for suitability with 11‑15‑year‑old learners.
• Design structured classroom routines that define teacher, student and technology actions, ensuring feasibility in low‑resource schools.
• Define pedagogical and product specifications, including scaffolding such as Urdu support, audio modelling, pronunciation feedback and offline access.
• Develop teacher guides, scripts, facilitation notes and training materials that enable teachers with limited English proficiency to run technology‑supported lessons.
• Support pilot planning, observation and analysis, providing recommendations for tool configuration, teacher training and product enhancements.
• Align technology‑enabled activities with CEFR expectations, grade‑level competencies and the organisation’s English learning goals.

Required profile

• Strong background in EFL/ESL pedagogy and instructional design.
• Experience designing learning experiences for low‑proficiency learners.
• Ability to critically assess AI and ed‑tech tools from a learning perspective.
• Familiarity with speaking, listening, pronunciation, vocabulary, reading and writing progression.

Required skills

• Instructional design expertise.
• Knowledge of AI‑driven ed‑tech evaluation.
• Understanding of CEFR frameworks and curriculum alignment.
