About the role

We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Storage and Backup Expert to manage, maintain, and optimise our enterprise storage and backup infrastructure. The role ensures high availability, performance, data protection and disaster‑recovery readiness for mission‑critical systems.

Key responsibilities

Administer SAN, NAS and Object Storage platforms, configure arrays (HPE 3PAR/Primera, NetApp, Dell EMC) and perform provisioning tasks such as LUN and volume creation.
Implement zoning, masking and multipathing, monitor performance and utilisation, and develop capacity plans.
Manage replication, snapshots, cloning and disaster‑recovery configurations, and support migration, hardware upgrades and lifecycle management.
Administer backup solutions (Commvault, Veritas NetBackup, Veeam, Rubrik, Cohesity), define policies, retention schedules and conduct regular validation and restore testing.
Provide storage support for Linux and Windows environments, databases (Oracle, Cassandra, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and virtualisation/container platforms (VMware, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Hyper‑V).
Automate routine tasks using Shell, PowerShell or Ansible and enforce security measures such as encryption and ransomware protection.

Required profile

Minimum 3 years of experience in enterprise storage and backup administration.
Proven ability to work in a 24x7 support environment and respond to critical incidents.
Strong communication and documentation skills, with experience collaborating across cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

Storage protocols: NFS, CIFS/SMB, Fibre Channel, iSCSI.
Backup tools: Commvault, Veritas NetBackup, Veeam, Rubrik, Cohesity.
Storage hardware: HPE 3PAR/Primera, NetApp, Dell EMC.
Scripting/automation: Shell, PowerShell, Ansible.
Operating systems: RHEL, Oracle Linux, SUSE, Windows.
Virtualisation/container platforms: VMware, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Hyper‑V.
