Event Interior Designer

About the role

The Catalyst Group is hiring an Event Interior Designer for one of Pakistan's largest and most premium event management companies, known for high-end events and exceptional client experiences. The designer turns client briefs into visually compelling and practical event environments, developing concepts, layouts and technical drawings within approved budgets and site requirements. The role works closely with client servicing, production, fabricators and other teams, overseeing the design process from concept to on-site installation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop event concepts, mood boards, colour palettes, material selections, furniture arrangements and decor treatments from client briefs.
• Design entrances, stages, backdrops, branded spaces, lounges, seating and dining areas, exhibition spaces and other event zones.
• Visit sites to check measurements, circulation and access before finalising layouts.
• Produce presentation visuals, dimensioned plans, elevations and technical drawings for quotations, fabrication and installation.
• Specify materials, finishes, dimensions and quantities, preparing design schedules and bills of quantities with production and the cost controller.
• Coordinate with fabricators, florists, lighting teams and signage vendors on technical details, samples and mock-ups.
• Maintain drawing versions and approval records, communicating design changes and their cost or timeline impact.
• Review on-site installations against approved designs, help resolve issues and document final adjustments.

Required profile

• 2-5 years of experience in event, exhibition, interior, hospitality or temporary-space design.
• A relevant degree or diploma in Design or Architecture, or equivalent practical ability.
• Willingness to carry out site surveys and take part in installation reviews.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of spatial planning, proportions, materials, detailing, fabrication and installation.
• Ability to create clear visualisations, renders, presentations and technical drawings for production teams.
