Fashion Designer - Technical Design & Trend Analysis

About the role

As a Fashion Designer at SUMMAT, you will create original designs and seasonal collections that reflect the brand’s vision and market trends. You will work independently to manage the full design workflow, from concept to final product, ensuring technical accuracy and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed technical design packages (Tech Packs) with specifications, construction notes, and measurements.
• Create original fashion designs using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and, when possible, 3D design software.
• Select and source fabrics based on performance, cost, and aesthetic criteria.
• Conduct sample reviews and fittings, troubleshoot fit and construction issues, and provide guidance to pattern makers and factories.
• Collaborate with merchandising, buying, and sourcing teams to align design decisions with business goals and production schedules.
• Monitor material inventory to maintain efficient supply levels and minimize waste.
• Analyze current fashion trends for commercial viability and relevance to the target market.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of garment construction techniques and textile characteristics.
• Ability to work independently, meet critical path deadlines, and maintain high quality standards.
• Effective collaboration skills across multiple departments.
