Fashion Designer - Western Wear

About the role

A Fashion Designer is needed to create new product launches across the garment and leather ranges. The designer turns trends and brand direction into designs, tech packs and samples ready for production, working closely with the Pattern Master and sample makers from the first idea to the approved sample.

Key responsibilities

• Research fashion trends, competitor launches and customer feedback to find new product ideas.
• Create design concepts, sketches and mood boards for new collections and single launches.
• Prepare tech packs covering measurements, materials, trims, colours and construction details.
• Select leather, fabrics, linings and trims that fit the design, quality standard and cost target.
• Brief the Pattern Master and sample team, and follow each sample through development.
• Review samples for look, fit and finish, then give clear correction notes.
• Keep a record of every design, revision and approved sample.
• Coordinate with the creative, product and sourcing teams on launch timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Fine Arts or a related field.
• Relevant experience in woven and leather garment design.
• Clear communication with production and sampling teams.

Required skills

• Strong hand and digital sketching skills (Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop or similar).
• Good understanding of garment construction, materials and fit.
