Field Projects & Maintenance Engineer (Lahore)

About the role

The Field Projects & Maintenance Engineer is responsible for operational maintenance delivery at regional level, spending at least 70% of time validating HSSE delivery, checking that suppliers perform as expected and proactively managing service delivery. The role is based in Lahore, Pakistan.

Key responsibilities

• Act as focal point for all HSSE requirements and issue and record the Permit to Work (PTW) system, ensuring training is given and suppliers are suitably qualified
• Promote and monitor safe work in the workplace and a 'talk not tick' culture for HSSE activities
• Carry out asset condition surveys of service stations in the area of responsibility
• Prepare for bi-weekly and monthly Market Unit meetings, audit and validate costed BOQs for site activities and verify invoices against work done
• Assess equipment repair or replacement needs and recommend the most efficient and economic approach
• Check quality of recently completed maintenance and repair work and ensure asset data is kept up to date through the PSC team
• Respond to emergency call-outs and make-safe situations, liaising with the Project Management Contractor (PMC) and Regional Operations Manager (ROM) so projects cause minimal disruption and equipment data is entered into Maximo/FMP
• Help develop the supplier base, hold regular operational reviews and share knowledge with the Centre of Excellence (COE)

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance with strong HSSE management
• Experience maintaining fuel station sites and knowledge of the petroleum industry is an advantage
• Strong verbal and written communication in English and the local/regional language
• Good planning, organizational, conceptual, political and interpersonal skills
