Finance Executive - Accounts Payable & Treasury

About the role

A Finance Executive position in Karachi, Pakistan, focused on managing accounts payable, reporting and treasury functions. The holder works closely with the Director of Finance (DM Finance) on day-to-day financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounts payable operations and review and verify vendor invoices, purchase orders and payment requests
• Ensure timely processing of payments by bank transfer, cheque or online systems, and maintain accurate records of all payable transactions
• Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies and coordinate with procurement and other departments on invoices and payments
• Monitor aging reports and manage outstanding liabilities
• Ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations and audit requirements
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities
• Represent the company positively and follow safety and company policies in all activities

Required profile

• ACCA qualified or part-qualified, with a Master's degree
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Thorough knowledge of accounting, audit and controls, and of accounting and audit conventions and standards
• Good interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, effective communication and decision-making, and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with MS Office applications and an ERP system
• Planning, organization and client relations attitude
