Financial Accountant – Financial Operations & Analytics

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Financial Accountant to join our finance team. You will manage core accounting, reporting, and financial operations, including analytics, payroll, budgeting, and forecasting, while supporting the organization’s strategic planning.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local standards.
• Perform financial, variance, and KPI analysis to aid business decisions.
• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing processes.
• Maintain general ledger accounts, journals, accruals, provisions, and reconciliations.
• Oversee bank, balance‑sheet, and subsidiary‑ledger reconciliations.
• Manage payroll for local and selected international employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Support budget preparation, forecasting, and rolling forecasts with department heads.
• Analyze budgets versus actuals, highlighting variances and providing insights.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers, depreciation schedules, and related records.
• Assist cash‑flow monitoring, intercompany reconciliations, and process controls.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audit cycles.

Required profile

• Graduate in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or related field (BBA, BCom or equivalent).
• CA qualified or CA finalist with completed articles, or ACCA part‑qualified/qualified.
• 4–6 years of practical experience in accounting, financial reporting or operations.
• Proven experience in financial analytics, budgeting and forecasting.
• Strong understanding of IFRS, local tax and accounting regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
