Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will lead financial planning and analysis to support the company's business strategy within the construction sector. Reporting to executive leadership, you will drive profitability, improve processes, and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and present financial models and analysis to senior management.
• Manage the annual budget, recurring forecasts, long‑term projections and strategic plans.
• Prepare weekly and monthly analytical reports tracking cost, revenue, under‑/over‑billing and cash flow.
• Calculate project revenue, margins and manage Work‑In‑Progress (WIP) reports.
• Forecast revenue inflows and coordinate with accounting, estimating and operations teams.
• Review data entry methods to improve accuracy and reporting efficiency.
• Supervise accounting activities, including AP, AR, payroll support and bank reconciliations, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, tax and labor regulations.
• Assist with system integrations and maintain finance department policies and procedures.
• Prepare executive‑level summary reports and PowerPoint presentations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred).
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACMA or ICMA is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of finance or accounting experience, preferably in construction.
• Strong knowledge of corporate finance, investment analysis and financial modeling.
• Familiarity with US accounting, tax regulations and construction‑industry financial practices.
