Full Stack Engineer

About the role

Burq is seeking a Full‑Stack Engineer to own end‑to‑end problems, building APIs, integrations, and product surfaces for enterprise retailers. You will work on high‑impact integration projects, ensuring reliability and scalability while using AI tools daily to accelerate development.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deliver complex features across backend services and web applications.
• Build and maintain REST APIs and webhooks with a focus on reliability, security, and clear documentation.
• Lead technical integrations from scoping to go‑live, collaborating with product, success, and customer engineering teams.
• Improve the Burq Dashboard using data and customer feedback to streamline mission‑critical deliveries.
• Own production quality through monitoring, incident response, root‑cause analysis, and preventive measures.
• Raise team standards via code reviews, technical design input, mentoring, and engineering best practices.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with a track record of shipping production systems.
• Strong ownership mindset: turn ambiguous problems into completed solutions without being prompted.
• Clear, direct communicator able to work with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript
• React or similar modern front‑end framework
• Design and development of REST APIs and microservices
• SQL and NoSQL databases
• AWS cloud services
• Integration with third‑party systems, webhooks, authentication, and failure handling
• Fluent use of AI tools (e.g., Claude, Unblocked) for development, testing, and debugging
