About the role

Karat is looking for experienced full‑stack or backend‑focused engineers to join its Interview Engineer Community on a contract basis. This remote position involves facilitating technical interviews, evaluating candidate performance, and collaborating on interview content and platform improvements.

Key responsibilities

Facilitate technical interviews through Karat’s platform, ensuring a smooth and inclusive candidate experience.
Assess candidates on coding ability, problem‑solving approach, communication, and overall technical knowledge.
Provide detailed feedback and performance summaries to hiring teams.
Partner with Karat to test and refine interview content, processes, and product features.

Required profile

At least 3 years of experience as a full‑stack or backend software developer.
Excellent written and spoken English with professional communication skills.
Reliable webcam, microphone, and stable high‑speed internet connection.
Prior experience conducting technical interviews or strong familiarity with data structures and algorithms is preferred.
