Furniture Designer / Production Designer

About the role

We are seeking a Furniture Designer / Production Designer who can turn creative concepts into precise manufacturing documentation. The role involves close collaboration with the production team to ensure that every piece is built to exact specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop and production drawings.
• Develop accurate 2D technical drawings and furniture details.
• Create Bills of Materials (BOM) and cutting lists.
• Produce assembly and installation drawings.
• Coordinate with production teams to verify design accuracy.
• Review drawings and resolve technical issues before manufacturing.
• Maintain high standards of quality, precision, and documentation.

Required profile

• Experience in furniture or joinery design, open to fresh graduates.
• Strong knowledge of furniture construction methods and materials.
• Good communication, problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively with production staff.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of SketchUp or other 3D modelling software (advantage).
• Ability to read and prepare technical drawings.
