Game Designer

About the role

We are looking for a creative Game Designer to shape engaging gameplay experiences. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to bring core mechanics, levels, and progression systems to life, ensuring they align with the overall vision of the game.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop gameplay systems, including core mechanics, player interactions, progression loops, and game loops.
• Create well‑paced levels that balance challenge, flow, and player engagement.
• Prototype and iterate on features using design tools and game engines such as Unity or Unreal.
• Collaborate with art, programming, audio, and QA teams to integrate and polish gameplay features.
• Produce detailed design documentation, including mechanics breakdowns, level flowcharts, feature specs, and UX notes.
• Participate in playtesting, analyze feedback and game data, and refine features accordingly.
• Contribute ideas to enhance storytelling, immersion, and overall game vision.
• Assist in balancing difficulty, pacing, and reward structures.

Required profile

• Strong passion for game design with solid understanding of gameplay systems and level design principles.
• Experience with or willingness to learn industry‑standard game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
• Ability to clearly communicate design ideas verbally and through documentation, sketches, or prototypes.
• Portfolio showcasing design work from personal projects, academic work, game jams, or shipped titles.
