About the role

The General Manager – Formal Schools is a senior executive responsible for shaping and delivering early and primary education programmes across the organisation’s national footprint. The role blends academic rigour with operational pragmatism to drive consistent adoption of curriculum and assessment models.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a national foundational years curriculum framework and operational playbook for scale.
• Lead curriculum and instructional design, including standards, scope & sequence, teacher guides and assessment tools.
• Develop and monitor KPIs, data‑use routines and impact measurement systems to improve learning outcomes.
• Ensure programme fidelity, quality assurance and corrective action across regions.
• Provide leadership to curriculum teams and dotted‑line guidance to regional implementation managers.
• Coordinate with staff learning, evaluation, operations and HR functions to drive adoption and sustainability.
• Represent the organisation with government bodies and education ministries to influence policy and secure partnerships.

Required profile

• Senior‑level executive experience in early or primary education programme management.
• Proven track record of developing scalable curriculum and assessment models.
• Strong data‑driven decision‑making and impact‑measurement expertise.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
