General Manager – Plant

About the role

Pharmnova, part of the Gatronova Group, is looking for an experienced General Manager – Plant to lead its capsule manufacturing plant in the Landhi industrial area of Karachi. The role will drive world‑class manufacturing, operational reliability and export readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Production, Production Planning, Engineering, Maintenance and Utilities functions.
• Improve production efficiency, equipment reliability, OEE, yield and on‑time‑in‑full delivery.
• Ensure strict compliance with GMP/cGMP, SOPs, quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Champion continuous improvement using Lean, 5S, Kaizen, TPM and root‑cause analysis.
• Optimize manufacturing costs, resource utilization, energy efficiency and CAPEX.
• Develop a strong leadership pipeline and high‑performing plant teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Electrical Engineering, Pharmacy or equivalent.
• 12‑15+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in pharmaceutical or other GMP‑regulated industries.
• Minimum 5 years in senior plant or manufacturing leadership roles.
• Proven expertise in Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Utilities and operational excellence.
• Extensive exposure to regulatory audits, quality systems and measurable manufacturing improvements.
