About the role
We are looking for a technically strong Geospatial Software Engineer to design and implement advanced computational geometry algorithms for solar energy analysis. The role focuses on building reliable, high‑performance spatial processing pipelines that work with real‑world rooftop data.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement algorithms for polygon operations such as intersection, clipping, buffering, splitting, merging and topology correction.
- Develop raster and vector processing pipelines using aerial imagery, DSMs and elevation datasets, and integrate computer‑vision predictions into accurate roof models.
- Build backend services with Python and FastAPI, optimise geometry‑heavy workflows, and work with PostgreSQL/PostGIS for spatial storage and queries.
Required profile
- 2–3+ years of professional experience in software engineering, computational geometry or geospatial development.
- Strong mathematical reasoning with 2D/3D geometry, vectors, transformations and spatial relationships.
- Ability to write clean, production‑quality Python code and debug complex algorithmic edge cases.
