Grants Officer

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Grants Officer to lead the identification and acquisition of national and international funding opportunities for Akhuwat. The role involves preparing compelling proposals, building partnerships, and supporting program implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Research, identify, and apply for local and international awards and grant programmes.
• Prepare high-quality proposals, budgets, and supporting documentation in line with donor requirements.
• Act as the primary liaison between Akhuwat and funding organisations, fostering collaborations and partnerships.
• Represent Akhuwat at seminars, conferences and networking events to promote its vision and initiatives.
• Coordinate with field staff, program managers and other internal teams to ensure smooth project execution and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or a related field (preferred).
• 2–3 years of experience in grant writing, fundraising or related functions.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to craft persuasive proposals.
