Hardware Test & Support Engineer

About the role

As a Hardware Test & Support Engineer at AIO you will combine hands‑on hardware validation with frontline technical support for live restaurant deployments. You will work directly with prototype devices, diagnose PCB‑level faults, and help non‑technical staff resolve issues quickly and confidently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform functional, performance and stress testing on AI‑powered embedded devices and PCB assemblies.
• Diagnose and debug PCB‑level faults using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers and other lab equipment.
• Build and maintain data pipelines to collect, process and visualise test results and production quality metrics.
• Identify trends in test data, surface quality issues early and drive root‑cause analysis.
• Document test plans, log defects and collaborate with hardware, firmware and operations teams on resolutions.
• Monitor the internal hardware support portal, triage tickets, and provide clear, plain‑language guidance to non‑technical staff.
• Maintain a knowledge base of known issues, work‑arounds and resolutions.
• Participate in post‑incident reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of validation coverage.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 0–2 years of experience in hardware testing, validation or technical support (internships or final‑year projects count).
• Strong foundation in electronics, circuit concepts and embedded systems.
• Hands‑on experience with PCB debugging and fault diagnosis.
• Familiarity with data‑analytics concepts such as log parsing, trend plotting and anomaly detection.
• Comfort using a ticketing or issue‑tracking system (e.g., Jira Service Management).
