Head Fashion Designer + Brand Manager

About the role

Niqaaabwear is a fashion brand focused on modest, stylish clothing and men's footwear, representing the experiences of Muslim women who wear the niqab. It is looking for a Head Fashion Designer and Brand Manager for a full-time, remote role that leads the creative direction and brand identity of the brand.

Key responsibilities

• Design collections reflecting the brand's modest fashion values, select textiles and oversee fittings, and ensure high-quality finishes such as embroidery details.
• Manage the brand's visual storytelling and align product design with brand messaging.
• Collaborate with marketing and production partners, review samples and give feedback to suppliers.
• Monitor fashion trends relevant to modest wear and ensure designs are functional, fashionable and aligned with the needs of niqab-wearing women.
• Coordinate timelines and maintain consistent brand standards across platforms.
• Contribute to long-term product and brand strategy.

Required profile

• Background in Fashion Design or a related field; prior experience in modest or niche fashion segments is an advantage.
• Proven experience in brand management, visual identity and fashion storytelling.
• Ability to work remotely, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional and external partners.

Required skills

• Fashion design and textile knowledge, including fabric selection, drape, comfort and durability.
• Proficiency in embroidery and decorative detailing.
• Knowledge of fitting and pattern adjustments.
