Head of Category Sales - Wheat Flour (Grain Foods)

About the role

A premier FMCG brand known for dairy, beverages and ambient products is expanding into grain foods with a premium line of top-quality wheat flour for the upper-end market. It is looking for an experienced FMCG commercial leader to lead the go-to-market journey, covering sales and distribution across all primary channels nationwide and overseeing the Yogurt category.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and execute sales strategies, annual business plans and go-to-market models across General Trade, Modern Trade, Key Accounts and Institutional channels
• Drive monthly, quarterly and annual sales volume and revenue targets while optimizing category margins
• Lead, mentor and build Regional and Area Sales Manager teams nationwide
• Expand distributor networks, strengthen key account partnerships and improve Route-to-Market efficiency
• Work with Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations on accurate inventory forecasting and order execution
• Launch the Grain Foods category while managing sales for the established Yogurt line

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive FMCG sales and distribution experience, with proven leadership in Grain Foods / Wheat Flour
• Bachelor's degree; an MBA in Marketing or equivalent is strongly preferred

Required skills

• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation and team leadership
• Analytical mindset and CRM/sales system tracking proficiency
• In-depth knowledge of FMCG distribution networks, modern trade dynamics, new product launches and weighted distribution tracking
