Head of Distribution

About the role

The Head of Distribution will lead the nationwide distribution network for a pharmaceutical company, ensuring alignment with business growth and portfolio expansion. This senior role oversees distributor relationships, delivery performance, and cross‑functional collaboration to meet sales targets and maintain business continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a nationwide distribution strategy supporting growth and portfolio expansion.
• Appoint, evaluate, and rationalize distributors and sub‑distributors to optimise the network.
• Ensure on‑time‑in‑full (OTIF) delivery to distributors, institutions and trade partners.
• Improve order processing, funds management, claims handling and complaint resolution cycles.
• Collaborate with Sales & Marketing on product launches and demand surges.
• Work closely with Planning, Warehousing, Finance and Sales to achieve primary sales targets.
• Support business continuity planning and crisis management.
• Build a performance culture with clear KPIs, regular reviews and accountability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (MBA preferred).
• 10–15 years of experience in pharmaceutical distribution.
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing nationwide operations.
• Strong understanding of Pakistan’s pharma trade, distributors and regulatory landscape.
